One last goodbye

D came to visit Cville this weekend--Lola and I hadn't seen him since our trip over the 4th of July. It was way too long a break! He got into town very late Friday night (or, rather, very early Saturday morning). We slept in on Saturday and then just drove around the area, one of our favorite things. We got frozen yogurt from Arch's and enjoyed it on the main Grounds of UVA, walking around the historic Lawn. Then, we got ready and went to The Clifton Inn for dinner. We celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary early, as we will be in separate cities on the big day. Dinner was amazing--one of the best meals of our lives.

Today, we woke up early and ran. I did 3 miles for my 4 miler training!!! We then got ready and had brunch at the Bluegrass Grill & Bakery (delicious). We spent the rest of the time hanging out at home before D had to leave for the airport. Now, his flight is delayed. Sigh.

Fortunately, this is our last goodbye for the summer. Soon, I'll be in NYC for work, and then we'll drive D back home for good. Can't wait! This summer has been both so slow and moved so fast. Can't believe school starts back in less than a month.
