Today, we got our new VA licenses and plates. We are no longer residents of the peach state. Sigh. It's official.
The house is still on the market. We have two couples making repeat visits this week, since we've dropped the asking price. Hopefully one or both of them will make an offer so that we will have one less thing (a huge thing, at that) hanging over our heads.
We're having fun exploring the area before I lose D for the next semester to school books and study group sessions. We went to the SPCA yesterday (VERY nice facility) to get Lola's dog tag. We took our nightly walk yesterday around the main UVA grounds. Then, we found a nearby nature preserve, which we may visit for today's walk. And, we saw a young buck and two does in a nearby neighborhood. The nature and mountains are absolutely beautiful--a great place to spend the next couple of years!
