Today is the last day of work for both D and me. We both have mixed emotions. It's exciting to be taking this next step, but it's also scary to leave behind the life we have built. We are going to miss our coworkers and the wonderful people we have met, but great things lie ahead. To top it off, there are still a million little things to be done before the moving van comes tomorrow. Somehow, I'm sure it will all work out.
We had a glimmer of hope with the house yesterday. Amidst all the boxes and clutter, an agent and her buyers wanted to preview the house. So, we "staged" the house as best we could, given the fact that we are moving. And, sure enough, they came to look at the house last night. Hopefully the house won them over--the bottled water and chocolate oatmeal cookies were at least popular with them.
It will likely be next week before we can post again, since we'll be packing the van, making the drive to Virginia and getting the new internet service hooked up. Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well. Love and thanks to everyone for all your support!
