Our house is in disarray as we go room by room, packing our items for the big move. It's hard to believe it's only a couple of days away. Of course, the house is a mess, so it's fortunate--sort of--that no one has requested a house tour. Hopefully we'll get an offer in the next week or showings once the house is vacant. But, for now, we're swimming in boxes and hearing the rooms echo as they become more and more empty.
We've steadily gone through our moving checklists, from turning on utilities at the rental house to changing addresses to last chance lunches and visits with friends. It's really here! It's our last week at work, so D and I are both staying busy getting things wrapped up.
For now, we're off to dumpster dive for more boxes, take Lola for a much needed walk and make a final visit to the local ice cream shop for a final gelato. An ice cream toast to our new adventure!
