D and I participated in the school-sponsored 5K race this morning to benefit the University's children's hospital. But this was unlike any other 5K we've ever participated in. For this 5K, runners were encouraged to dress up in either business attire or crazy costumes. So, D wore a sport coat and tie, and I wore a business shirt and tie. At the end of the race, there was a "fashion show" for best male business attire, best female business attire and most outrageous costume. Even though he was only half-decked out in a business suit, D actually won for best male business attire--all due to his impromptu breakdancing performance. Wonder Woman (a man!), a Hairy Gorilla, William Wallace (Braveheart), a giant banana, and more were among the crazy costumes. Wonder Woman-Man won.
After the race, we went to eat breakfast with our friends, and then I went to a baby consignment sale to look for stuff for my sis. (Hi sis!) It was a chill afternoon, with naps, painting, and some volunteer computer work. Chores tomorrow, as we have out of town guests coming in over the next two weeks.
