Recent Travels

For the past couple of weeks, D and I have been traveling. It's been nice to get away before the baby arrives, but it has also been tiring.

First up, a weekend down south. We went to Atlanta for a couple of nights to see the family. D also had a day of interviews for a job.

Next, we spent a night in Charlotte. D was tentatively had a meeting scheduled, but that fell through. We still had a nice time having dinner with D's friends from undergrad. We also got to drive around the area to see what places we would want to live, if we moved to the Queen City.

Below, sculpture, the Hearst building, and some art and architecture.

That same whirlwind weekend, we went to Asheville for a night, just for the fun of it.

The next weekend, we took a "babymoon" to NYC. D had an interview in the city for a potential job. We also caught up with the folks from his summer internship, as well as dinner with his career coach/mentor. And, we saw our first Broadway play, "The Miracle Worker".
