So, either the cold is going around or allergies have set in. D and I both have been feeling yucky all week, but I hope it will be behind us soon. D has been in NYC for the past couple of days--catching up with the folks from his summer internship and conducting informational interviews for full-time work. He has been hearing some good news, getting several interview requests. He has those interviews coming up over the next couple of weeks, so it is nerve-wracking and very exciting. Here's hoping he gets a good job offer soon! On top of recruiting, the first quarter of school has wrapped up, so D has been working on papers and exams. Then, the next quarter starts up, about the same time that interviews start up. The Second Year is certainly not easier than the First at b-school--just different.
Other than dealing with allergies/cold, I have been good. My girlfriends and I threw a surprise, co-ed double baby shower for two of our friends who are having babies soon. The ladies were totally shocked! It was so fun. One of my favorite parts of the night was when the guys started decorating baby onesies with us, coming up with funny phrases to put on the onesies. Good times! That's one of the great things about this two year adventure--the amazing friends we have made and will keep for life!
Otherwise, nothing new to report. Work keeps me very busy these days, with many visitors to the campus. Hope you are staying busy too and spending time with the people that bring a smile to your face. Have a great weekend!
