Surviving Winter

D and I are happy to report that we made it to Atlanta after narrowly missing the huge winter storm that hit the mid-Atlantic and northeast. We made it out of Cville on Friday after my doctor's appointment check-up. We drove to Atlanta, as usual, so we could bring lots of presents and goodies and the doggie. We were fine till we neared Danville, VA, near the NC border, where snow started. We had snow and freezing rain through most of NC and sleet through part of SC. It was definitely white-knuckle driving. The interstate slowed to 20 - 40 mph at some points, and many cars had spun out. We made it safely though, thank goodness.

We spent the weekend hanging out with A's parents and sister, brother-in-law and, of course, the precious baby nephew. Pictures coming soon.

Safe travels wherever your holiday plans take you!
